About Phil

Growth is the Ultimate
Measure

To achieve your full potential, you need a partner.

We all have limited insights, perspectives, and capabilities. We also have fears, insecurities, and self-limiting beliefs. An experienced coach can help you see the greatness and potential within and not only encourage you, but push you beyond your comfort zone to discover your individual genius.

I show people and companies how to break through to their next level of ability, growth, and performance and partner with them as they lean into their edge to confront the fears that are holding them back.

This is where real growth comes from, and this is where the power lives:
the power to positively impact the people you lead.

"Most coaches don't have his depth of real-world experience. Phil gets it. He’s sincere, consistent, authentic and he gets results.”

—Brad Hansen, CEO, GoEngineer

Who Needs a Coach?

No one would ever question the merit of a coach for a professional athlete, or a personal trainer for someone wanting to become healthier. On the contrary—we generally consider those people to be more focused on accomplishing their goals.

And yet in the business world, where so much is at stake, top leaders fail to take the steps and receive the support they need to become the best possible versions of themselves, both personally and professionally. Only 1/3 of CEOs ever seek outside guidance from a mentor or coach.

The problem is that there is only so much that anyone, no matter how driven or talented, can accomplish on their own; there is only so much one can see in themselves without someone else providing perspective and holding up a mirror for reflection.

Successful leaders invest in themselves, and they seek guidance to accelerate the pace of progress and achieve their goals with greater precision. An experienced coach provides the tools for reflection and creates a healthy environment for personal and professional growth and acceleration.

Our Work Together

My approach to coaching is to serve you from a place of honesty, respect, and compassion.

In the short term, we'll work to help you gain traction and make progress toward your goals quickly. In the longer term, I will help you develop skills and make use of tools that you can use for life.

"Bottom line: Don’t engage with Phil as a coach if you don’t want to be challenged. He’s not a yes-man and doesn’t agree with you just to make you feel good. When he pushes back, he’s always compassionate, it’s purposeful, and it comes from a place of understanding. Even if I wasn’t working with Phil professionally, I would still want to have him as a mentor; he’s amazing at bringing out the best in me."
